The Larimer County Roping and Barrel Race is open to competitors who are residents of Larimer County. This is a great community event that many participants look forward to each year. Monday, July 28th starts with Barrel Racing at 7:00 pm, followed by the Open Roping Drawpot at 8:30pm. Tuesday, July 29th is Open Team Roping starting at 7:00pm. See entry forms for further details.
New this year- a BBQ ticket will be available for purchase at the night of entires. The BBQ will take place just outside the arena on both Monday and Tuesday nights.
Participants: Entries will be taken on Monday, July 21 &Tuesday, July 22, 2008 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm ONLY. Please note that a specific parking permit will be given out at this time and that that the location of parking will be different from past years. Please bring the parking map and directions in your entry packet with you to Fair. You will only be allowed to park with a permit.

AMHA Miniature Horse Show:
12:30pm- 5:00pm, Friday, August 1, 2008, Outdoor Arena
This AMHA Sanctioned show will have halter classes, driving classes, hunter classes, obstacle classes, etc. These classes are limited in size so that the spectator can see how versatile the miniature horse is.
Participants: Please note the parking map and directions in your entry packet. Please bring the parking map and directions in your entry packet with you to Fair. You will only be allowed to park with a permit.
The Larimer County Fair Mule and Draft Horse Pull will begin at 7:00pm. Both Mules and Draft Horses are allowed in the competition. Please contact Joey Freund or Terri Wagner for more information.

The Larimer County Fair Kids Rodeo will begin its 48th consecutive year of youth rodeo. One of the most popular events has always been the Mutton Busting for ages 4-6. The Junior Division, ages 7-13, consist of
8 events including Steer Riding, Goat Tying, Barrel Race, Calf Riding, Keyhole Race, Pole Bending, Calf Roping and Flag Race. The Senior Division has 11 events; Barrel Race, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Girls Breakaway Calf Roping, Boys Calf Roping, Team Roping, Bareback Riding, Bull Riding and Bronc Riding. The rodeo will be held Aug. 2nd, 2008 for the Junior Division and Aug. 3rd, 2008 for the Senior Division. The Larimer County Sheriff’s Posse has hosted this event for the last 47 years and will continue to do so for many more years

The Larimer County Fair and Rodeo Draft Horse show is a long standing event. Its success is due to the love people have for the “gentle giants”. The show is a fun filled, exciting show and everyone is invited to watch and/or participate. Come see the draft horses put through their paces!. There will farm classes, timed obstacle events that are great crowd pleasers, and the beautiful multiple hitches. The six horse hitches will take your breath away!
